First blog

Hello world. We have decided to start a blog. Not sure why, but thought we might want to keep some thoughts on it to share with others. A friend just challenged Sam to write his thoughts down, as he has been studying a lot on leadership...plus that is one area where we are working with our work in Spain. We are also involved in the LMC (Leadership Matters Course), training leaders all over the world.

So, I'm going to start. I don't usually journal or write down my thoughts, so I might not be on here too often. Who knows. I'll probably have the personal thoughts/updates, and Sam will probably have the deep, life-changing thoughts.

We were recently told that we are going to be grandparents! YAY! That is VERY exciting. Our daughter, Suzanne, and her husband, Jonathan, are going to be parents, due March 1. Suzanne has had a lot of all-day "morning sickness", so that hasn't been fun. She even spent the night in the hospital on two different occasions to get IV's of fluids to keep her from being dehydrated. She seems to be doing better, so we are hopeful that since she is near the end of the first trimester, she will be about over this part of the pregnancy. Sure would like for her and Jonathan to be able to enjoy this exciting time in their lives.

They moved to Ft. Myers, FL in July...so I'm not able to see them much. I wanted to be there to help her out when she was the sickest, but wasn't able to because of the distance and because we are traveling so much. Jonathan has done a great job in taking care of her.

We are living with Stephanie now, and that has been good. It's great to be with family as much as possible while we can. Can never get enough of it.
